Job Description:
Our Legal teams mission is to deliver exceptional legal services in a manner that promotes the firms performance with the utmost integrity. Our Legal department supports all Point72 groups globally with practical advice on a variety of complex legal and regulatory matters in an ever-changing, dynamic environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide senior level legal support for wide range of Private Credit related transactions and deal flow, including the following transaction types: Corporate Lending, Real Estate Lending, Asset Based Finance, Equity-style investments (structured preferred and common interests), Joint Ventures and Strategic Partnerships, Purchase and Sale Agreements in connection with the purchase of loan pools, and Trade Finance and Securitizations (traditional ABS).
Assist in the management of outside counsel.
Coordinate with the firms Private Credit investment professionals and other investment services personnel from the firms Compliance, Finance, Tax, Operations and Treasury groups in connection with deal flow transaction management and execution.
Cultivate and manage relationships with business partners across the company.
Job Requirements:
J.D. degree from an accredited law school, and membership in at least one state bar.
5 to 8 years experience as an associate (or counsel) in a private credit or structured finance (or similar) group of a major U.S. law firm, or in the legal department of an investment adviser (covering private credit or related areas).
Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
Capacity to multitask, effectively prioritize, and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and judgment.
Ability to identify, address, and resolve issues in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
Compensation:
The annual base salary for this role is $300,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
