General Questions Asked: Mostly behavioral questions regarding my past experience - these were fairly typical of most interviews that are done nowadays, we then discussed company culture and the structure of the company, how the work gets done, etc.They asked me a list of questions, mostly opened ended, about what I would do in multiple scenarios for Payroll, HR, customer service, etc. I answered to the best of my ability.Behavioral Based questions, with a theme surrounding overcoming difficult people &situations and working under short deadlines to deliver results. Describe a time you faced a challenge and how did you overcome it? How do you plan to overcome your lack of direct experience?
For Software-Related Position: The first round with department/hiring manager was more functional and based on the skill set that was mentioned in the resume but the next/final round with the management team was all behavior and attitude related.
